October Mayor's Message

Here’s a little joke for all you football fans. How do football players deal with their problems? They tackle them head-on!

That’s what we have been doing here at Village Hall to combat the extra traffic due to construction. Our officers have been manually changing lights to keep traffic flowing and keeping an eye out for trouble, especially during peak drive times. It hasn’t been perfect, but this month the construction should finish up and much of the extra traffic will subside. Having US-40 as our Main Street can be challenging at times, and we have to adapt to changes as they arise.

Be sure to circle October 26 on your calendar. That is the date for this year’s Fall Festival at the Community Center, from 5-8pm. This is always one of our biggest events, and one I really enjoy. We still have a few Trunk-or-Treat spots available, there will be a costume contest, Family Friendly Hay Ride, my favorite apple cider slushies and our amazing haunted house, the Haunted Asylum. It’s never too late to get in on the behind-the-scenes fun. https://volunteersignup.org/WLCPD See you around the Village!
