December Mayor's Message

Another year has flown by, and we are just about ready to welcome in 2025.  Before that happens, we have one of West Jefferson’s favorite events, Christmas in the Park. This year it will be held on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14, 5:00-10:00 pm. I love seeing Garrette Park lit up at night, and always look forward to spending some time there with my family, and the chance to enjoy the experience with all of you. The lights will continue all month long, turning Garrette Park into a real wonderland!

Be on the lookout for Santa at Village Hall this month. He has promised to come and pass out candy canes and wave to passing cars sometime this month before he gets too busy. We will be sure to let everyone know.

Looking for service or help this year? The library has Adopt-a-Family tags to choose, our Police Department is gearing up for Shop with a Cop and the Good Samaritan Food Pantry is putting together meals for residents in need. The library is also collecting cold weather gear, and Dollar General has a basket of free gently used coats. Whether you are able to assist, or need a little bit of help, our community has you covered. Happy Holidays!
